Vintage Pewter Trinket Bowl with Lid and Ball Knob

$22.00

A sweet little vintage pewter bowl with a fitted lid and ball knob, just right for rings, earrings and small treasures. Smooth, softly worn and ready to use. 6.6cm tall.

Availability: 1 in stock

This pewter trinket bowl is a neat little vintage piece in soft silvery grey, with a fitted lid and a ball knob on top.

It’s a rounded, spun pewter bowl with a smooth interior, and the domed lid has a fine engraved line running around it near the edge. The lid sits snugly on the rim, and the knob is a small ball on a short stem.

Keep your rings, studs and cufflinks in it on the dressing table, drop your keys and loose change in it by the front door, or stand it on a shelf with your other vintage finds. Pewter picks up a soft patina and goes with just about anything, and it makes a sweet little gift. It sits nicely with our wooden candle holder (listed separately) for a simple desk or dresser display, and is a lovely contrast with our Casey Ware basket vase on a console table

Condition: Good vintage condition. There are light surface scratches and scuffs from age and use, and the lid has a darker, softer patina than the bowl.

Dimensions: 6.6cm high × 9cm diameter (with lid on)

Care: Wipe with a soft damp cloth, or wash gently in warm soapy water and dry well. A little pewter polish will brighten it, or leave it as is for a soft patina. Keep it out of the dishwasher. It’s best kept for trinkets and display rather than food, as older pewter can contain lead.

We ship Australia-wide, and local pickup from Mt Coolum is available by arrangement.
